St Philip’s Church…The “Westminster Abbey” of Charleston…I sketched this picture fondly as it is my daily backdrop off of my bedroom balcony. St Philip’s Church bells sing to me all day from 8 am - 8 pm, reminding me every 15 minutes to focus on the task at hand…or so I thought.

Traditionally, church bells chime every fifteen as more of a tool to keep the mind aware that God is watching, it’s more about piety than punctuality. The tolling bells have become as familiar to me as the sound of my keys jingling, and I can clearly distinguish them amongst all the other bells on the peninsula.
